Mock execution at pep rally raises questions

Story: Mock execution at NHS pep rally raises questions

Teens are just getting into trouble left and right for the pep rally skits. Maybe something needs to be said about the songs in popular culture? Or maybe students are exposed to more sex and violence and fear it less than the over-bearing adults of a different generation? Maybe pretending to murder your rivals execution style doesn't demonstrate the most tact, but first let's see if the end justifies the means. Go Team Friday Night!

No, No, No, No, No. Zero-Tolerance cannot be compromised. We can't let students think they can get away with pretending to shoot people just for kicks. A violent-themed environment is NOT healthy.

This isn't that big of a deal; its a pep rally for crying out loud. For one if you had actually seen this school and how it was a few years ago, this little pep rally would be the least of your worries. Try having riots break out in the cafeteria between New Orleans kids and other refugees that we've had to take in.
