Story: Charter Oak students upset by racial prank
One yearbook editor's idea of humor is changing the names of the students in the Black Union to fake, borderline derogatory "ghetto" names." Don't schools have advisor's who should be overlooking anything before it goes into print? At a school that is less than 5% black, these aren't the kind of jokes that are going to be forgotten.
Racial prank changes names in yearbook
Smells Like: California, pranks, racism, yearbook

I think this is tragic, its another case of isolating a minority group. If its only the minority group up in arms and everyone else is staying out of it then they are practically condoning actions that ostracize and denigrate.
Is it too much to assume that the administrators (or whomever called the shots when it came to "replacement stickers") are not part of the %4.5 black population of the school?
Culturally sensitive? Racially sensitive? Ignorance?
What rock did these people crawl out from under. It's sad to think that people that DUMB are leading others. I think the administrators should be forced to reprint the book and pay on it because it is altering personal information. This slow sting would follow them for years like child support. It would teach bottom dwellers to take their job seriously.
