Story: Federal Judge Rules Fox News “Gullible” and “Unprofessional”
Basically, the paraphrased story is: A couple kids pulled a goof on a couple other kids during lunch. The incident was documented and handled by the school. Another kid put a story on a website to parody the situation. FoxNews then took it upon themselves to report the story, based on the satirical site, causing the town to be in an uproar.
So what I've gathered is, even if schools try to do the right thing, students still somehow pay the consequences. Oh, and never trust your news.

I work in the Lewiston School system, and my son was a student at LMS at the time of the incident. I have done cafeteria duty at the middle school. Fox News seems to have forgotten just what middle school kids are like - very apt to make a big deal out of little things. The considerable influx of Somali students has put a strain on our school system. (Many are right from Africa, speak little if any English, and have never been in a school before.)The religious/cultural difference is part of it. School teachers and administration are doing amazing work trying to integrate these kids into our schools. Given the tension of the situation, and the nature of middle school kids, this kind of incident will happen. 10 day suspension seems right to me.
"Fox News" is an oxymoron.
The reactions of the school system and the posts here makes me wonder how their reactions would have been different if they were NBC, ABC or CBS... FOX News is not perfect, but they are a hell of lot better than most (and best based independent professional surveys)...
gives a whole new meaning to
"faux news"
god i hate fox so much, so damn much.
